From the quiet hills of Tennessee, Loretta Lynn turned her private land into a sacred ground for thousands of young motocross riders.
🏕️ A Country Queen and Her Riders
Most remember Loretta for her timeless ballads like “Coal Miner’s Daughter”, but few know that since the early 1980s, her private ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee has hosted one of the largest amateur motocross events in America. Not because Loretta loved engines—but because she believed in young dreamers chasing dirt and glory.
“They needed a place to start. I had land. Why not?” – Loretta once said.
The motocross championship at her ranch began in 1982. Since then, nearly 50,000 riders—from age 5 to pro legends—have battled the dirt tracks. Loretta herself used to run a small stand, serving hamburgers and coffee, signing autographs in the Southern heat for years.
🏍️ 2025: The 44th Celebration – Honoring a Legacy
From July 29 to early August 2025, the 44th motocross championship returns to Loretta Lynn’s Ranch. The event features nostalgic merchandise, Southern food stalls, and a special acoustic performance by her granddaughter Emmy Russell, honoring her grandmother’s legacy with “You Ain’t Woman Enough”.
