Twitty City, the iconic home once built by Conway Twitty in Hendersonville, Tennessee, may soon be torn down – ending a chapter in country music history. The property, closed to the public since 2016, was severely damaged by an EF-2 tornado in December 2023.

Conway Twitty's House

Once a pilgrimage site for fans, it held not just music memorabilia but a piece of America’s country soul. After Conway’s passing in 1993, the home was bought by Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) and renamed “Trinity Music City.” Since then, it has quietly faded from the public eye.

Now, with heavy damage from the storm, TBN is reportedly considering demolishing the entire structure, replacing it with a new television production campus and assisted-living facility. A few original signs and items may remain as quiet echoes of the past.

But to longtime fans, this isn’t just about a building — it’s about the fading of a memory, a physical link to the golden voice behind hits like “Hello Darlin’” and “It’s Only Make Believe.”

Is this truly the end of Twitty City, or will its legacy find a new way to live on?
